Summary: Book the trip during what turned out to be their off season. Room was very nice with a pretty view and everything was clean it came with a fireplace but housekeeping didn’t turn over the room every day as they were supposed to, the change machines for laundry were out of order both in our building and the one across, the range was not functioning properly, the parking situation was sketchy at best and the lodge restaurant had only 3 items on the menu and the cocktails were mediocre. Now I understand they have to pair down the services offered during off season but for $320 a night you’d expect more. They didn’t even have 24/7 front desk staffing. A motel 8 in the middle of nowhere can manage that, and forget about free breakfast.
